Alter – Privacy Policy

Alter is a private, single-user personal assistant tool operated by András Halász. It is not offered to the public. Only three pre-approved Google accounts belonging to the operator can sign in.

Data accessed

After the operator's explicit consent, Alter accesses the operator's own Gmail data (reading and searching mail, creating drafts, and sending mail only on the operator's explicit instruction) and account email address and sign-in identity.

Storage

Alter stores only OAuth refresh tokens, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and technical sign-in records in a private database. Email content is read live from Google when requested and is not stored permanently.

Sharing

Data is not sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising. Email content is made available only to the AI assistant the operator connects to Alter, solely to carry out the operator's own requests.

Google API Services

Alter's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
